Two Worlds United

Each Summer Two Worlds United welcomes high school exchange students to programs in beautiful Madrid.  As a Two Worlds United summer program student in Madrid you’ll visit the fabulous monuments of Madrid as well as some of the lesser known but remarkable sites.  Weekday mornings consist of Spanish language classes and allow beginners as well as intermediate and advanced level students to gain Spanish language skills during the stay.

Madrid Summer Language & Culture Program.

This program is a group program located in Madrid. The program consists of 4 hours of Spanish class every weekday, afternoon excursions, while evenings and weekends are spent with Spanish Host Families.

Tuition includes: 

  • Homestay accommodation including meals
  • School Tuition included in programs which have an Academic component including Year, Semester, Trimester and Summer Language & Culture Programs
  • Program Coordinated Events and Excursions including all entrance fees and transportation
  • Chaperones and Local On-site Two Worlds United support and supervision
  • Airport transfers from airport to host family on arrival and departure
  • 24-hour worldwide emergency assistance
  • Pre-departure orientations and in-country orientations
  • Student Handbooks

Programs do not include:

  • Airfare- all students are met at the airport by Two Worlds United program representative
  • Any Passport and visa application fees as applicable
  • Personal expenses (for example toiletries, shopping, clothing, internet, calling card, activities)
  • School expenses (e.g., uniforms/lunches, if required, school supplies, bus passes)
  • Any other item that is not specified

Applications for the program are online at the Two Worlds United Website at http://www.twoworldsunited.com/preapplication.html this application form should be completed and mailed to the Two Worlds United Office along with your $95 Registration Fee. This step will reserve a place in the program for you.  In order to receive your full application, you must mail in a hard copy of your pre-application with the Registration Fee. You will then receive your Two Worlds United Full Application Form by email.  After completing the full application form the next step will be for Two Worlds United to send your full application overseas.  The Two Worlds United staff will then begin to make your placement arrangements based upon the information that you provide in your full application form.

Two Worlds United offers partial scholarships from $250 up to $1200. Qualified students may apply for scholarships based on criteria which may include: academic grade point average, family financial need, number and level of courses in high school, rank in class, and information included on the International Awareness Scholarship application. Each scholarship award is based upon meeting the scholarship requirements and the application competition.

After applying with the preliminary application, you will receive the Two Worlds United Full Application Form and a Scholarship Application Form by email.  Please keep in mind that applications are handled as first come first serve basis, so the sooner you do apply the better chances to get a placement in the program.
